MWW Group Green

MWW Group has gone green! We’re working towards becoming carbon neutral in order to do our part to fight global warming, preserve our natural resources and help create energy independence for the United States.

There are many reasons we chose to be a green company. But it all boils down to one simple fact - we want to give a little bit back to the planet by doing our part. We started with several simple steps such as installing energy efficient light bulbs, replacing bottled water with filtered water and setting our computers and monitors to hibernate after 20 minutes of non-use. Even the simplest of efforts, like turning out the office lights at the end of the day, can have a major impact on the planet.

Over the last year, we’ve added larger initiatives to our efforts. All employees have been provided coffee mugs to use in place of disposable paper cups and each office is equipped with silverware instead of plastic utensils. Additionally, we have reduced paper consumption through mandatory 100% recycled content paper for all offices, reductions of non-networked local printers, and cancelled accounts with existing car services in favor of several green car service providers outfitted with fleets of hybrid vehicles.

We are proud of the progress MWW Group has made with regard to the environment but we’re not finished. In 2009 MWW Group received ISO14001 certification (only the second PR firm in the nation to do so) and is committed to further enhancing our programs focused on eliminating waste and promoting recycling, and continuing the process of achieving carbon neutrality. Through a partnership with Carbonfund.org, MWW Group is also reaching out to better the global community.

MWW Group and its employees hope to be an example to the rest of the public relations industry, so that together we can make a difference in our world.
